Horizon Honors prepares students for a successful future and inspires them to leverage their knowledge and skills to create a better world.

• The curriculum is robust, evidence-based, and aligned with college and career expectations. Students engage in challenging, meaningful content and skill development that prepares them for real-world success.
• Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) are created each quarter with students, teachers, and parents to set academic and social goals.
• The small-school environment allows staff and teachers to truly know each student.
• Pre-Advanced Placement Courses (AP) and Dual Enrollment/Concurrent Courses are offered for university credit and may begin as early as freshman year.
• Students in Grades 9 and 10 attend College & Career Readiness to support ILP goals, build strong study skills, and gain tools for future success.
• Electives span a wide range of interests, including Culinary Arts, Psychology, Sociology, and Performing Arts.
• Technology and digital resources are integrated into every course to enhance learning.
• Students receive comprehensive College & Career Counseling focused on academic, career, personal, and social development.
• Faculty Office Hours are available after school on select days to provide additional support.

No two students learn exactly the same way.

Teachers continually assess each student's progress and adjust instruction to provide the right level of support and challenge. Our educators work closely with students and families to ensure every child is progressing academically while also developing the social and organizational skills needed for long-term success.

Every quarter, each student develops an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) in partnership with their teachers and family.

ILPs establish personalized academic and social goals that help students take ownership of their learning while encouraging reflection, growth, and continuous improvement. Throughout the quarter, teachers monitor progress, celebrate successes, and adjust goals as students continue to develop.
