The 2019 U.S. News & World Report Nation’s "Best High Schools" were released this morning.  This is a report that compares and numerically ranks over 17,000 public high schools across the country. A new methodology is being utilized this year to calculate the rankings. The metrics include six factors: college readiness including AP participation and results, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.

We are thrilled to report that once again we have made their list and are ranked as one of the top 25 high schools in the state!  Horizon Honors High School has been awarded a "Best High School" recognition, falling in the top 4% by state ranking, and top 10% in the national rankings, of all public schools.

We recognize that the high school years are critical in preparing our students for their continued education and becoming our future leaders.  We also value the education we provide to our students K-12 and this report emphasizes our continued effort to provide all students with a high quality education.  Our teachers are exemplary, and our students strive for excellence in all they accomplish.  We also know that we couldn’t accomplish this excellence without the great partnership with our families.  Your involvement and support of your child’s education truly helps them to learn, believe, dream, and dare to be their absolute best!

A very special thank you and congratulations to all our staff, our students, and our families who continue to work hard and support all that Horizon Honors stands for – excellence!
