Secondary Schedule Update Graphic

As we continue to fight COVID-19 and now head into the cold and flu season, our goal is to keep the campus open and our community members safe. In order to do so, we require more time and access to clean our facilities. Starting November 25th, all Secondary School Students will participate in asynchronous learning at home on Wednesdays so we may use that time to sanitize and deep clean our facilities.

Please note that the following Wednesdays will be synchronous learning days for all students, with the campus open to in-person learners:

January 6, 2021 (temporary remote distance learning)

March 17, 2021

June 9, 2021

Sample Weekly Schedule:

Monday - Blue Day (synchronous learning, current model)

Tuesday - Silver Day (synchronous learning, current model)

Wednesday - Asynchronous Learning Day (at home for all)

Thursday - Blue Day (synchronous learning, current model)

Friday -  Silver Day (synchronous learning, current model)

On Wednesdays, students will complete assigned work and prepare for classroom activities, discussions, labs, and projects.

- All students will check-in with their Block 1 or Late Start Teacher by 8:10 a.m. via Google Classroom and the posted Google Form.  This attendance check-in is mandatory.  Anyone not checking in on time must call the attendance office to be excused.

- Students will check the Google Classroom for each of their blocks for assignments and announcements to create a work plan for the day.

- Although students will not be working with their teachers during class time, Student Support will still be held on Asynchronous Learning Days from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.   Students may access Student Support remotely or on campus.  Students who come to campus will need to check-in through the Secondary Office.

- Extra-curricular activities will maintain their published schedules. Students coming to campus after 2:45 p.m. must check-in through the Secondary Office.

- Students are either in-person or remote learners in our current model.  Students may not shift back and forth between the learning options due to teacher preparation needs and school funding requirements.  Some exceptions have been granted due to extended illness and quarantine needs.  Temporary changes to a student’s learning option must be requested via email to me, as the school Principal, for review and possible approval.
We appreciate your support and flexibility as we adjust to this ever-changing situation.  We are confident that these changes will allow us to continue to keep our community as safe as possible while we strive for educational excellence.
